imap pop smtp configuration for e-mail

Receiving and sending e-mails via WEBMAIL

If you do not want to check your email from an email manager (Gmail, Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird, …) you can always use the link to Webmail

http://webmail.tudominio.com/

  • user: your e-mail address
  • password: the e-mail password
  • NOTE: With the Webmail service your received and sent emails are always stored on the server unless you explicitly delete them.

Configure the RECEPTION of e-mails with a mail manager

  • user: your e-mail address
  • password: the e-mail password
  • POP: yourdomain.com
  • Port: 995 for POP configuration or 993 for IMAP configuration
  • Security: SSL
  • NOTE: If you want your emails to be downloaded to your mail manager you should use a POP configuration. If you want your mails to be kept on the server or you want to access them from different devices you should use an IMAP configuration if your mail manager allows it. GMAIL for example only allows you to use POP on port 995, but allows you to check the box “Leave a copy of the retrieved message on the server”. You have more information in Differences between Pop or IMAP

Configure the SENDING of mails with a mail manager

  • user: your e-mail address
  • password: the e-mail password
  • SMTP: yourdomain.com
  • Port: 465
  • Security: SSL
  • NOTE: If you want your sent emails to be stored on the server you must use an email manager that enables this option, such as Thunderbird or Mail (MAC). Other email managers such as Gmail do not allow you to save the sent emails on the server, as they save them on the GMAIL platform itself. Others, such as Microsoft Outlook, depend on the version.
